Over the past 2 months the Strategic Committee has been active in progressing the development proposal.
The committee has met with key stakeholders including QPRC, Colliers International, local member Steve Whan, Golf NSW and COX Architects.
The club signed an agreement with Colliers International to provide an in-depth analysis of the current proposal and any other options that they may consider viable. This report is expected to be completed by the end of October 2023. Colliers will engage with other stakeholders in the formulation of this report.
The strategic committee is also exploring grant opportunities for supporting infrastructure to the development.

How is the club paying for the Development?
The club will need to fund the initial due diligence and viability assessment which includes identification of funding sources to construct the development.
Annual subscriptions and / or levies will not be used to fund the development. Subscriptions have only increased as a result of rising operating costs including a 10% increase in insurances, 12% increase in electricity, 20% increase in course fertilisers and chemicals, and 6% increase in wages. All costs have increased significantly over the past 12 months.
Will there be any major disruption to the course or clubhouse?
The project footprint does not encroach on the golf course so there will be no impact on golfing activities. We anticipate construction to be staged to ensure there will be clubhouse facilities available to members throughout the development.
We are hopeful that the development will provide opportunities for course enhancements to compliment construction.
Who are we speaking to?
QPRC, NSW Government, Golf NSW, COX Architects, Bradfield Advisors, Colliers, Construction Control, Bellchambers Barrett, Wollongong Golf Club (have undertaken a similar development) & other resources, to be determined.
Will there be member information nights?
Yes. Once we have adequate information and have completed our due diligence member information nights will be advertised. Also, mark your calendar for the AGM to be held on Monday 11 December 2023 at 6pm.
