Development Update March 2026

QGC Development Stages

At the end of last year, Queanbeyan Golf Club signed proposals with our partners, Colliers & Eight Mile Planning to proceed to the next stage of planning the QGC Redevelopment.

Each stage includes the following planning activities:

Stage 1 – Scoping Proposal
1.       Prepare Scoping Proposal	February/March 2026
2.       Report QPRC & other Government Agencies	April 2026
3.       Report to Council	April 2026

 

Stage 2 – Planning Proposal         April – June 2026

4.       Technical & Supporting Documentation a.       Architectural Concept b.       Draft LEP Maps c.       Traffic Impact Assessment d.       Flood Impact Assessment e.       Phase 1 Contamination Report

5.       Planning Document a.       This will include assessment of strategic merit of the proposal and consistency with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act), b.        Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021 and Guidelines for the Preparation of LEPs. c.       Draft Planning Proposal provided to for review.

6.       Feedback from Council                                                                 June 2026

7.       Finalise & Submit Plan                                                                  June- July 2026 a.       Finalise Planning Proposal and submit via the NSW ePlanning Portal

 

Stages 3, 4, 5, 6 are dependent on the outcomes of Stages 1 and 2

The QGC Strategic Committee formally meets with our partners every 6 weeks as well as informal conversations occurring internally and with partners on a regular basis.

The QGC Strategic Committee reports into the QGC Board as per our Governance Framework.
